"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." ~Helen Keller

Hello! My name is Lindsey Baxter, and I've been teaching high school English Language Arts since 2006. In 2007, I came to TK and have loved every minute of interacting with the wonderful staff, community, and students here--my hometown.

I studied English and Psychology at Grand Valley State University, and am currently pursuing my Master's in Educational Technology at Western Michigan University. My husband and my 2 children, along with 3 horses, numerous chickens, a cat, and a dog, reside in the lovely countryside of Barry County. In addition to reading and writing, I love being outdoors, riding and training my horses, hiking, playing sports, camping, and kayaking. I am a proud TK Fit Girls coach, and am an honorary member of the TK Packers.

I love teaching, and am so blessed to spend my days doing what I love. I truly believe that every person can make a difference, every person has unique talents and traits that make our community fabric stronger. I also believe our words and our voices have power. I strive to help students realize that their voices matter, that their voices can change the world.
