U of M-Dearborn Spring Open House
This event will be held on April 22 from 12-3:30 and is designed especially for high school sophomores and juniors to learn about the Michigan tradition and experience first-hand what it is like to attend a top-ranked university. Students and families will have the opportunity to learn about admissions and fiancial aid, tour the campus and explore the many resources and services offered at UM-Dearborn.
Agricultural Operations Certificate
A new partnership between Kellogg Community College and Michigan State University will allow students to earn an Associate in General Studies degree at KCC while simultaneously earning an Agricultural Operations Certificate through MSU -- with all coursework completed entirely at KCC.
Calvin Young Women's Business Institute
Know a young woman interested in a business career? The Calvin Young Women's Business Institute is an exciting (and free) 3 day summer program (June 21-23), for young women who are entering their Junior or Senior Year of high school in the fall of 2017. Participants will live on the campus of Calvin College, interact with professors and network with business leaders from places like Amway, Steelcase, United Way and Wolverine Worldwide. Applications are due May 15.
Michigan Youth Leadership Training Camp
MIYLT is a camp desidned for students in grades 9-12 to become impactful leaders in their schools and communities. The camp is held at Camp Tuhsmeheta in Greenville from June 25-30. Cost is $20 per camper.
2017 Junior Visit Days
James Madison College is MSU's college for public and international affairs. Graduates of James Madison College go on to careers in government, policits, business, education, and human services, as well as continue their education at top graduate and law schools. Explore what James Madison College has to offer.
Talk and Career Series
The Kent Intermediate School District (KISD) is hosting Talk & Tour Career Series. These evening events are like getting 5 job shadows in one! Students and parents will hear directly from a panel of professionals, have an opportunity to ask career questions and may tour the organization's workspace.
National College Fair

Looking for a job in health care?
You could be ready to enter the growing field of health care in just six months or less. Get the answers you need to make an informed decision about which career is right for you at free information sessions that will be held at GRCC. Training is offered for careers as a medical assitant or phlebotomist. Certified Nurse's Aid program will be added soon.

Summer Youth Programs at Michigan Tech
Registration is open for the 2017 Summer Youth Programs at Michigan Technological University. Students currently in grades 6-11 are invited to participate in more than 50 explorations on the MTU campus ranging from STEM to business. Students will discover and learn about various fields through hands-on laboratory, classroom, and field experiences while living in the residence halls with other crazy smart students. Competitive Scholarship Programs are available.

Study Abroad this summer
Hillsdale College is offering high school students the chance to study abroad with their faculty while earning Hillsdale College credit. The two-week program includes options for travel to England, France, or Italy. Students can also opt to learn more about the history of the United States with travel to Gettysburg, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
18 year old males are required to register with Selective Service
Registration is required to stay eligible for Federal Student Loans and Grants, State Student Aid, most Federal jobs and jobs with the US Postal Service. It's easy and it's the law. Register at any US Post Office or at sss.gov.
