This year’s homecoming theme is “TK Palooza” celebrating several types of music. Fun events during homecoming week will revolve around the theme. Dress-up days at the high school focus on these music themes: Monday - Country Day; Tuesday - Hip Hop Day; Wednesday - Pop Music Day; Thursday - Throwback 60’s; and Friday - TK Spirit Day is celebrated throughout the district.
The Middle School also has established their homecoming dress up days as well. Monday is Crazy Hair Day; Tuesday, -USA Day; Wednesday - College Day; Thursday - PJ Day; and Friday - TK Spirit Day.
All the elementary schools and the Early Childhood Center will have the same dress-up day for homecoming week. Monday - Hat Day; Tuesday - PJ Day; Wednesday - Western/Farmer Day; Thursday - Sports Day; Friday - TK Spirit Day.
The homecoming festivities will start with the annual parade. The parade starts at 5 p.m., leaving Lee Elementary School and ending at Page Elementary. After the parade there will be tailgate games and festivities. Be sure to be in the stands early as the TK Alumni Association will present their annual Distinguished Alumni Award prior to kickoff.
The TK Trojan Marching Band will also be performing prior to the kickoff as well as at halftime and throughout the game.
Be sure to come out Friday, Sept. 27 to cheer on the TK Trojans as they take on Northview. The game begins at 7 p.m.
