This fun play takes the audience on a journey through history to the summer of 1969 when men first landed on the moon. The play is set in several different scenes, telling the story of people who are reaching for their dreams. Each scene is named after an iconic song from 1969 like “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” for the scene where a girl tries desperately to convince her parents to let her go to Woodstock and another where a woman is trying to get a job in NASA. There is also a scene of a group of protestors showing a girl how to fight for what’s right in “Come Together.”
The scenes are filled with humor and heart reminding the audience of their own hopes and dreams. It reminds everyone that to achieve what is truly wanted, we must all reach for the stars.
