The high school sent 35 members to the district leadership contest at Olivet High School Wednesday. TK will send members in contest categories of creed speaking, agricultural issues, prepared public speaking and greenhand conduct of meetings, to the regional contest Feb. 11 at Marshall High School.
Moving on to regional competition are:
- Creed Speaking - Sophia Baxter earning second place with a gold award
- Agricultural Issues - Team members Zach Heinbeck, Alexa Hoeksma, Paige Sheely, Vivian Hansson, Joel Smith, Carter Hondorp earning a second-place, gold award
- Prepared Public Speaking - Emma Reil, first place gold award; and Kadyn Palmateer, second place gold award
- Greenhand conduct of meetings: second place, gold award, team of Braxton Richardson, Grayson Hondorp, Kenden Richter, Mikayla Williams, Margaret McKeown, Millicent Simmons, Colin Goggins
Several students also competed in various contests and did very well - with many of them competing for the first time. Those competing were:
