National Honors Society

National Honor Society is a group based on scholarship, character, service, and leadership. We host the Elizabeth Thurber Chapter at TKHS of this national organization.
 
The members of this organization are juniors and seniors with a GPA of 3.50 and above. Students will receive a letter inviting them to apply for membership in the winter of their sophomore/junior year for membership beginning in March
 
NHS members perform a minimum of 20 hours of community service per year of membership while maintaining a GPA of 3.50 or above.
 
NHS sponsors two Blood Drives in conjunction with Versiti held at TKHS, and the officers choose an additional service project each year that serves our local community.
 
Officer applications and elections are held in the first few weeks of the school year. 
Students connect through Google Classroom, group activities, meetings, and community service projects.
