¡Hola!
I am originally from Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua (Mexico) where I went to school until the end of my freshman year in college. I moved to the Grand Rapids area in 2001. Since then, I learned English, completed my B.A. (Spanish and Secondary Education) at Grand Valley State University, and finished the work for my M.A. (Spanish Language and Culture) from Idaho State University. I come to TK with 11 years of teaching experience on the secondary level. I’m thrilled to be teaching Spanish 1 and 2 this year!
I’m a proud mother of five children and two God-children that my husband and I care for. We cherish time with family and are active members in the Hispanic community in the Grand Rapids area. You can find me at Taekwondo practices, water polo tournaments, soccer matches, Hispanic festivals, and enjoying authentic food from every culture I can.
I am really excited to become a member of the TK family.
