About Ms. Woods

I earned a BA in Art Education and a BFA in Painting & Printmaking from Central Michigan University.  I received my Masters in Education from GVSU.  I have been teaching at TK since the fall of 1999.  I am one of the co-founders of the TK Fine Arts Festival, and the adviser to the High School Art Club.

I am passionate about Art and am excited to share it with students!  I believe that art is for everyone and that all students can benefit from the creative problem solving skills built in Art Class. When I am doing my own work I often paint with oils, acrylic and watercolor. I also do some printmaking and dabble in fiber art and ceramics as well. My favorite subjects are landscapes and animals.  I have shown my work at CMU, WMU, GRCC and the Holland Arts Council in several exhibits.
