The TKHS Class of 2021 Cruise, sponsored by the Middleville Lions Club, will start at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 21. The parade start time was moved back a half hour from the original planned time to accommodate some TK athletes who will be in competition Friday night.

A few fortunate Thornapple Kellogg High School students walked away from school last week with jobs for the future – hired on the spot during a high school job/career fair. Others walked away with a wealth of knowledge about job and career possibilities in the area.

Five Thornapple Kellogg High School students learned their public service announcement videos are among the top 10 videos in their specific category in the Meijer Great Choices Film Festival.

Thornapple Kellogg High School is preparing for the graduation of the 217 members of the Class of 2021 and recently honored the top 10 academic students in the class.

Thornapple Kellogg High School seniors are literally leaving their mark on their high school and want future classes to understand the hand they’ve had in helping continue school pride, class and traditions – even in a pandemic year.

Three TKHS seniors were honored as the March Rotary Students of the Month. They are Brennan Lutz, Mitchell Middleton and Sam Morton.

Fifteen Thornapple Kellogg High School student athletes will continue playing a sport in their college career. Most of the athletes have already signed letters of intent with their colleges. The high school hosted a signing day celebration for all of the athletes and their families Thursday.

Twenty-six Thornapple Kellogg High School athletes were named OK Gold All-Conference athletes. The students represent boys and girls basketball, boys and girls bowling, wrestling, competitive cheer and swimming and diving. The wrestling team led the school with nine members earning the All-Conference honors. Congratulations to all our student athletes.

Using their computer and linking up for meetings or classes is nothing new for high school students these days. But for many, a virtual job interview was a first. About 120 TKHS seniors were able to have that experience this week as part of an English assignment.

Thornapple Kellogg High School staff and students and the entire TK Community are mourning the loss of assistant principal Kevin Remenap.
