When Thornapple Kellogg High School’s Special Olympics basketball team made their first basket of the game, the entire TK student body filling the stands erupted into cheers of support. The cheering was equally as loud when their opponent made their first basket and the cheers continued for every basket by either team throughout the game.

Three TKHS film students earned honors at the recent Compass College High School Film Competition. Their films were named among the top 15 films in the annual competition that attracts short films created by students from around the state.

Thornapple Kellogg High School FFA team members had a fantastic showing at their rookie experience at the District Leadership Development Contest at the Calhoun Area Career Center this week.

There hasn’t been an active FFA program at Thornapple Kellogg High school since the mid 1960’s, but that’s all changing this year.

Thornapple Kellogg High School had a strong showing at the regional BPA competition Friday. All 10 students who competed at the BPA regional competition Friday earned placings in the top 10 of their fields and eight qualified to move on to the state BPA finals.

Thornapple Kellogg High School robotics team has received a big boost through support and a donation from Bradford White Corporation and a grant from the Wilson H. Craig Jr. fund through Barry Community Foundation.

A dozen Thornapple Kellogg High School students were named as OK Gold All Conference athletes for the fall season, and five more were named as All Conference honorable mention.
