TKHS Inducts Newest National Honor Society Members

Thornapple Kellogg High School inducted 58 new members to the Elizabeth Thurber chapter of the National Honor Society. The new inductees include 10 seniors and 48 juniors, bringing the chapter's members for 2016-17 to 106 students with 58 seniors and 48 juniors. To be eligible for National Honor Society, students must maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and perform at least 20 hours of community service per year.

TKHS Students and Community Say "Thank You" to Veterans

As Thornapple Kellogg High School students emptied the gymnasium, many of them took a minute to shake hands with a veteran and say a simple "thank you" before heading back to class Friday morning after the sixth annual Veterans Day community program.
Phil Sikkema was quickly flanked by three of his grandsons - Davis and Grant Mulder, a freshman and junior at  TKHS, and their cousin Jared VanTil, who is a senior homeschooled student from outside the TK district.

Female Students Debunking Industrial Arts Misconceptions

Engineering fields are still typically a male-dominated world, but a couple of Thornapple Kellogg High School female students are debunking the myth the classes are only for males and they’re hoping their successes lead to more females in these classes.
