Seniors Look Forward to OM World Finals and Graduation All in Same Week

Competing at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals will be the exclamation point to the end of the senior year for three Thornapple Kellogg High School students. "I would skip graduation if I had to, to go to worlds. It's that important to me," said Amy Cutlip who has participated on OM teams for 11 years and is going to the world finals for her third time.

TKHS Art Teacher Earns Teacher of the Year Honor

TKHS art teacher Barb Maring was named the Kent County Education Association High School Teacher of the Year. Maring, who has taught for 22 years, was honored at the Kent County Education Association spring banquet May 5.

TKHS Senior Earns KCEA Scholarship Honor

TKHS senior Carley Dole received the Sandy Wilson Dependent Scholarship from the Kent County Education Association. The award was presented at the annual KCEA spring banquet May 5.

Allegan, Barry Youth Summit Empowers Teens to Lead Positive Lives

More than 300 students from 12 Barry and Allegan county high schools gathered recently to learn to empower themselves and others around them. It was the sixth year of the Youth Summit for Barry County and the second year the two counties have joined forces to focus on promoting positive behaviors in youth.
