TKHS Class of 2019 prepares for graduation.

TKHS Class of 2019 to Graduate May 23

The Thornapple Kellogg High School Class of 2019 will graduate at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 23. Graduation will take place outside at the football stadium, weather permitting. The ceremony will be moved into the large high school gymnasium if needed.

High Schoolers Build Custom Sandboxes for Boy, 6

MIDDLEVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — A 6-year-old Middleville boy whose life changed forever one year ago has a brand new gift thanks to a group of local high school students.
In May 2018, Nate Boersma was in a terrible car crash that left him paralyzed. Since then, he has fought hard to recover and learn to adjust to life in a wheelchair as a kindergartner at McFall Elementary.

MIDDLEVILLE. Mich. — Woodshop students at Thornapple Kellogg High School went the extra mile for an elementary student in need.
After a bad crash last year, 6-year-old Nate Boresma hasn't been able to enjoy the one thing on the playground he loves: the sandbox. The high school wood shop students wanted to change that, and made a specialized sandbox just for him.

Seven Thornapple Kellogg High School video projects have been named as finalists in the Meijer Great Choices Film Festival. TKHS finalists are Aubrey and Kyra Shepherd, Brandie VanStee with Devon Holt assisting, Chase Dannenberg, Gabby Smith, Kaitlyn Robinson (with two videos in the finals) and Lily Secord-Rider with Savannah Troseth assisting.

TKHS Students Find Joy in Giving Back and Helping Others

Friday was a feel-good day at Thornapple Kellogg High School. Students took part in the annual service day and smiles seemed contagious. Carveth and Lincoln Meadows residents were thrilled to have so many guests to help them play Bingo and other games. Elementary students flocked around high schoolers as if they were rock stars who came to help them with homework. Even the high school students pulling weeds, raking flower beds and creating new gardens were smiling knowing they were doing something good.

Jake Flikkema wasn't really looking for a job, but after a mock interview opportunity for Thornapple Kellogg High School seniors, he came away with a possible part-time opportunity.

BPA Students Represent TK at State Convention

Thornapple Kellogg High School was represented by seven students at the state Business Professionals of America state convention and competition last weekend.

One high school team placed first at the state OM finals and will advance to the world finals.

Three TK Teams Advance to OM World Finals

Thornapple Kellogg Schools will again be well represented at the Odyssey of the Mind world finals in Lansing this year by three teams - one team from Page, one from the middle school and one from the high school.
